The First Batch of Markets in Well Digging and Water Supply Project in Multiple Cities in Kasai in DRC Delivered after the Owner’s Acceptance

On March 5, 2021, after nearly three-month repair, verification, initial acceptance and final acceptance, the four supporting markets in Tshilunde, Tshibombo, Katende and Nkena Nkuna of the Urban Well Digging and Water Supply Project in Kasai in Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) were delivered to the Owner and supervising body after the acceptance.

Besides, the four markets in the periphery of Maibi also kicked off the acceptance procedure, which are expected to be delivered by March 20.

Up to date, the sections LOT5 and LOT3 have been merged in construction. The well digging and water tower construction are under way at the same time. Besides, the pipeline design and construction preparation are also being made. The project is now in the peak stage of construction.  

The Well Digging and Water Supply Project in Multiple Cities in Kasai in DRC is 1,200km away from Kinshasa. It is divided into two bid sections, LOT5 and LOT3, with a contract value of more than 10 million US dollars. The two sections have 18 points in total distributed in different towns and townships. The supporting markets mentioned above are in four towns in section LOT5.

The acceptance & delivery officially initiate the delivery procedure of section LOT5, which will greatly facilitate the subsequent progress of the project.
