Main Structure of Golden Tulip Hotel/Office Building in DRC Topped Out

        With the pouring of the last bucket of concrete at 10:58 AM on May 29, the main structure of the Golden Tulip Hotel/Office Building in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) was topped out.

Located in Kinshasa, capital of DRC, the hotel was invested and constructed by Weihai International Economic & Technical Cooperative Co., Ltd. (WIETC). With an area of 1.2 hectares and a floor area of approximately 15,000 square meters, the project includes nine floors on the ground and one floor underground. Planned and designed as a four-star international hotel, the hotel has 187 rooms, as well as other facilities such as restaurants, banquet halls, bars, meeting rooms, gymnasiums and swimming pools. The project also includes a 5,000-square-meter office building for leasing.

Project Rendering

        Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, the project team well coordinated epidemic prevention and the construction, worked overtime, overcame high temperature and humidity in Africa, and got the main structure topped out after one year of intense work, which laid a solid foundation for the opening of the hotel in 2022.
