World Bank Delegation Inspected the Ozone Water Project in DR Congo

        On May 16, Ms. Catalina Marulanda, World Bank Regional Director for Central and East Africa, accompanied by Mr. Philip, General Manager of CEP-O of Water Supply Project in DR Congo, inspected the Ozone Water Project in DR Congo. Yu Qinghua, General Manager of WIETC Zhengwei DR Congo and Xiong Shiqi, Head of Ozone Water Project, accompanied the delegation during the inspection.

        At the project site, the Project Director reported the project progress, technical difficulties and solutions. Then the World Bank delegation visited the water intake trestle, water source plant, water treatment plant, transmission pipeline, high and medium voltage distribution room and other facilities. After the visit, they expressed great satisfaction with the progress, quality, safety and site management of the project.

        At the subsequent workshop, Ms. Catalina said the Ozone water project is one of the largest waterworks in Central Africa funded by the World Bank. The World Bank will try the best to ensure the payment of project funds. She hoped that the owner, supervisor and contractor would cooperate closely to accelerate the construction of the water plant, so as to ensure the completion of the project on schedule and solve the problem of drinking water shortage for local residents as soon as possible.
