Lumumba Square Emergency Repair Project in DR Congo Delivered for Use

On June 30 local time, Lumumba Square Emergency Repair Project was delivered for use in DR Congo. On the square, the DR Congo government held the ceremony of receiving the remains of national hero Patrice Lumumba. The President Félix Tshisekedi attended the ceremony and made a televised address to the nation.

The emergency repair project of Lumumba Square is located in Kinshasa, the capital city of DR Congo. It was started on April 17, 2022, and was originally planned to be completed on September 30, 2022. To commemorate the national hero Lumumba on the National Day, the DR Congo government requires it must be completed by June 30. The project team organized scientifically, planned meticulously, worked hard day and night, made full use of the advantages of reserve materials, and obtained strong support from other project teams.
